Ingredients and interactions
Menovelle contains a proprietary blend of cordyceps, reishi, shiitake, lion's mane, maitake, turkey tail, chaga, royal sun agaricus, white button mushroom and black fungus. Do not use if you are allergic to mushrooms or fungi. Reishi, chaga and black fungus may slow blood clotting and may interact with blood thinners and anti-platelet medicines; stop use two weeks before surgery. Maitake, chaga and royal sun agaricus may lower blood sugar and add to diabetes medicines. Reishi may lower blood pressure. Several mushrooms affect the immune system and may interact with immunosuppressants or autoimmune conditions. Chaga is high in oxalates and is not advised for people with kidney disease or kidney stones. White button mushroom has been studied for effects on estrogen-related enzymes, so women with a history of hormone-sensitive cancers or who take hormone therapy, aromatase inhibitors or tamoxifen should speak to their oncologist or doctor first. Shiitake can rarely cause a skin rash. Not for use by anyone under 18 or by pregnant or nursing women.
